Welcome To Lokayan
The Lokayan Cultural, Social, Educational and Multipurpose Organisation, Mumbai has been noticeably working in the fields of Education and Culture since the year 2013. The organisation conducts folk drama writing workshops, national and international conferences and various cultural programs. Our main aim is to educate the researchers in folk art and folk lore and to encourage them for the researches in the same.
The Lokayan organisation has conducted social awareness street plays in collaboration with governmental departments such as Aids Control Board, Election Commission, Amaravati Municipal Corporation, Information and Public relation department.
Since 2017, we organize a ten days ‘Bharud’ training workshop in collaboration with Ekvira Manch, Pandharpur (Maharashtra) from 1st May to 10th May. Famous Bharud artist like Smt. Chandabai Tiwadi participated in and successfully completed this workshop.
During the Corona pandemic period, in order to lift up the spirits and manage the frustration due to lockdown, Lokayan started an Acting Challenge Campaign in May 2020 wherein, enthusiasts were asked to submit monologue acting videos and they were published on the Lokayan YouTube channel to promote the artists. In June 2020, public was called upon to present and record folk arts and send the videos to Lokayan in order to publish on its YouTube channel.
The Lokayan Cultural, Social, Educational and Multipurpose Organisation has, until now, successfully organized various cultural programs. In July 2021, an online writing workshop on Loknatya – Vagnatya - Aakhyan (folk drama-vag-drama-legend story) writing was organized in cooperation with the West Zone Culture Centre, Udaipur and Ministry of Culture, Govt of India. The tradition that was totally dormant in the past sixty years was revived again by the Lokayan.
Street plays have been conducted for the public awareness.
An international conference on folk art and folk lore was organised in collaboration with Sangeet Natak Akademi in May 2022. The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, president, Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
लोकायन परिषद १.० - २०२२
भारत सरकार की संगीत नाटक अकादेमी, नई दिल्ली इनके सहयोग से एवं लोकायन सांस्कृतिक, सामाजिक, शैक्षणिक और बहुउद्देशीय संस्था, मुंबई द्वारा 'लोककला और लोकसाहित्य के अभ्यास में समाज के विविध अंगो का महत्त्व - भारत एवं विश्व' इस विषय पर अंतरराष्ट्रीय परिषद का आयोजन ता. २७ से २९ मई २०२२ इस कालावधि में आभासी रूप से किया गया.
इस अंतरराष्ट्रीय परिषद का उदघाटन भारतीय सांस्कृतिक संबंध परिषद (ICCR) के अध्यक्ष डॉ. विनय सहस्रबुद्धे इनके मार्गदर्शक भाषण से हुआ इस उदघाटन समारोह में सुजय पतकी (ICCR सदस्य), मृणाल पेंडसे (ठाणे महानगर पालिका पार्षद), उपस्थित थे. इस परिषद का बीजभाषण सुविख्यात लोकसाहित्यिक डॉ. हरिश्चंद्र बोरकर इन्होने किया। इस परिषद में मान्यवरों के पथदर्शन पर विशेष जोर दिया गया. जिसमे डॉ. रवि चतुर्वेदी (अंतरराष्ट्रीय नाट्य निदेशक), डॉ. राजश्री शिर्के (कथक गुरु), डॉ. शैलेश श्रीवास्तव (पत्रकार), डॉ मनोज भाटवडेकर (मानसोपचार विशेषज्ञ), वासुदेव कामत (अंतरराष्ट्रीय कीर्ति के चित्रकार), डॉ. रत्नाकर नारले (कवी, कनाडा), डॉ. केशवचैतन्य कुंटे (संगीत अभ्यासक) आदि मान्यवर वक्ताओं का पथदर्शन प्राप्त हुआ।
चुनिन्दा राष्ट्रिय एवं अंतरराष्ट्रीय शोधपत्रों को ‘Importance of Various element of society in folk lore and folk art’ इस ग्रंथ मे प्रकाशित किया गया।
इस परिषद् की संकल्पना एवं सूत्रसंचालन डॉ. मोनिका ठक्कर इनका था। संयोजन एवं अन्य तकनिकी सहाय संस्था के सचिव योगेश्वर लोळगे इन्होने किया।
लोकायन राष्ट्रीय संशोधन परिषद २.० - २०२३
सांस्कृतिक कार्य संचालनालय, महाराष्ट्र सरकार और लोकायन सांस्कृतिक, शैक्षणिक, सामाजिक एवं बहुउद्देशीय संस्था के संयुक्तिक तत्वाधान से वैश्विक लोक संस्कृति में प्रदुषण : कुप्रथा इस विषय पर राष्ट्रीय संशोधन परिषद का उद्घाटन ता. २६ मई २०२३ से २८ मई २०२३ इस कालावधी में रामभाऊ म्हाळगी प्रबोधिनी उत्तन, भायंदर, मुंबई में आयोजित की गई थी| २६ मई को अंतरराष्ट्रीय नाट्य निदेशक डॉ. रवि चतुर्वेदी, रामभाऊ म्हालगी प्रबोधिनी के कार्यकारी संचालक डॉ. जयंत कुलकर्णी एवं अलीगढ विशविद्यालय की प्रोफ़ेसर डॉ. विभा शर्मा इनके करकमलो द्वारा हुआ| इस उद्घाटन समारोह में चुनिंदा शोध पत्रों का ग्रन्थ 'कुप्रथा : वैश्विक लोक संस्कृति में प्रदुषण' इस विषय पर प्रकाशित किया गया.
तत्पश्चात प्रो. डॉ. विभा शर्मा जी ने की नोट के माध्यम से शोध परिषद का पथदर्शन किया। जिसमे लोकसंस्कृति में महिलाओं पर होनेवाले अत्याचारों को उजागर किया गया| प्रस्तुत विषय पर सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम भारुड़ एवं तमाशा इन लोक कला प्रकारों का प्रस्तुतीकरण हुआ इसका सहयोग भारतीय सांस्कृतिक सम्बन्ध परिषद, भारत सरकार की ओर से प्राप्त हुआ| इन तीन दिवसीय शोध परिषद में सम्पूर्ण भारत से सम्बंधित विषय के विशेषज्ञ, अभ्यासक, प्राध्यापक, शिक्षार्थी एवं कलाकारो ने सहभाग लिया| तीन दिन की यह शोध परिषद लोक कला, लोक साहित्य एवं लोक संस्कृति के विशेष आयामों पर गहरी चर्चा से भरपूर रहा|
इस राष्ट्रीय शोध परिषद् की संकल्पना एवं आयोजन यह डॉ मोनिका ठक्कर इनका था और संस्था के सचिव योगेश्वर लोळगे इन्होने संयोजक की भूमिका अदा की|
Lokayan Parishad 1.0 - 2022
A wing of the Government of India - New Delhi, known as Sangeet Natak Academy and Lokayan Cultural, Social, Educational and Multipurpose Institution, Mumbai, organised an International Conference on the topic of 'Importance of various parts of society in the practice of Folk Art and Folk Literature - India and the World' was organised Virtually between 27 to 29 May, 2022.
This International Conference was inaugurated with the guiding speech of Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, who has been remained the President of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Mr. Sujay Patki (ICCR member), Mrs. Mrinal Pendse (Councilor -Thane Municipal Corporation) were present in this inaugural ceremony. The keynote address of this conference was given by the well-known folk literature scholar Dr. Harishchandra Borkar. In this conference, special emphasis was laid on the guidance of the dignitaries. In which Dr. Ravi Chaturvedi (International fame Dramatics Director), Dr. Rajshree Shirke (Kathak Guru), Dr. Shailesh Srivastava (Journalist), Dr. Manoj Bhatwadekar (Psychiatric Specialist), Vasudev Kamat (Internationally Renowned Painter), Dr. Ratnakar Narle (Poet, Canada), Dr. Keshav Chaitanya Kunte (Music Practitioner) and other eminent speakers gave their speeches of guidance to us.
Selected National and International research papers were published in the book ‘Importance of various elements of society in folk lore and folk art’. This conference was conceptualised and managed by Dr. Monika Thakkar. The organization’s secretary Mr. Yogeshwar Lolge provided his able guidance for coordination and other technical supports.
